Just to be clear, I would understand it if the parents were very old, or had some sort of disability or condition that rendered them unable to work (and maybe that is the case with these parents). Now, I don't know anyone from either of these families in real life (at least, not that I'm aware of), so I of course don't know if either of these families are really this extreme.
